Post-Surgical
and Post-Traumatic Swelling
Post-operative and post-traumatic edema occurs when tissues experience trauma or surgery, leading to fluid accumulation and lymphatic stagnation in the affected areas. This causes swelling, heaviness, and tension in the tissues.
Lymphatic drainage is particularly recommended because it gently stimulates lymphatic circulation, promotes the drainage of excess fluids, and reduces swelling, pain, and discomfort.
