Lymphatic Detox: Start the New Year Lightly

After the holidays, the body often carries fatigue, swelling, and a feeling of heaviness.
But how can you reactivate your body and get rid of what you no longer need?

Movement and a balanced diet are essential.
However, if you are looking for a truly effective reset, I recommend a full-body manual lymphatic drainage.

Over the course of three consecutive treatments, we will progressively work on the entire body, promoting detoxification and reactivation of the lymphatic system. This way, you will start the new year feeling lighter, more rested, and full of renewed energy.

The package includes 3 treatments, each lasting 60 minutes:
🌷 1st session: front of the neck, legs, abdomen
🌸 2nd session: front and back of the neck, back, glutes
🌹 3rd session: front of the neck, chest, arms, face

My approach

I am a physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience in functional assessment and individualized musculoskeletal therapy. I specialize in the treatment of back pain and cervical spine disorders, post-traumatic and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as physiotherapy for lipedema and lymphedema. In my therapeutic approach, I place particular emphasis on the active participation of the patient, thorough assessment, and long-lasting results. I regularly update my professional knowledge and follow modern rehabilitation methodologies.

I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno (2012) and a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University in Prague (2015). In 2025, I moved to Rome. I am a physiotherapist with officially recognized training in Italy, registered with the Professional Register of Physiotherapists (no. 10884).

The techniques used

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

for women

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle and pleasant technique that stimulates lymphatic circulation, helps reduce swelling and water retention, alleviates pain and the sensation of heavy legs, supports the body’s detoxification, and provides a feeling of lightness and well-being. It is used as an integral part of the comprehensive treatment of lymphedema and lipedema (in combination with deep tissue massage).

For lymphatic drainage to be effective and safe, it must be performed by a qualified therapist. This is not the same procedure performed in beauty centers, where the goal is not health improvement. During therapeutic manual lymphatic drainage, it is essential to respect the anatomy of the lymphatic system, apply gentle pressure, perform movements smoothly, and follow the correct sequence of individual techniques.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)

according to Prof. Kolar

DNS is based on the principles of developmental kinesiology. The fundamental assumption is that the most common cause of musculoskeletal disorders is an alteration in muscle coordination. This imbalance leads to increased tension in certain muscles, joint blockages, and, over time, to premature wear of the joints, disc herniation, and even more frequent injuries. These problems can be addressed very effectively by restoring proper muscle synergy, even when degenerative changes, a disc herniation, or a vertebral displacement are already present.

Myofascial Techniques

Myofascial therapy techniques – in particular soft tissue mobilization techniques and their manual release, working on the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons – represent an essential component for effective therapy. I primarily use mobilization techniques according to Prof. Lewit.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotaping helps to improve and maintain the effects of therapy for a longer period while providing excellent feedback for greater body awareness. The elastic properties of the tape are similar to those of the body’s soft tissues, allowing the treated areas to work actively. The tape supports muscles and other soft tissues, protecting them from potential damage and promoting physiological, pain-free movement. Thanks to the wide range of possible tension, the tape can not only activate muscles but also release them and help maintain correct joint positioning. Kinesiotape also influences the function of the vascular and lymphatic systems. When applied with very light tension, the tape lifts the soft tissues, allowing optimal blood and lymph flow. This effect is widely used to reduce edema and swelling.
